Miller Library Welcomes our Students in Asia!
Students who have been accepted into a degree program at Asia Biblical Theological Seminary have access to the many excellent online resources of Cornerstone University's Miller Library.
First, a few words of introduction and explanation regarding these resources as they pertain to students in Asia:
1. Electronic Access
In order to access electronic resources online (eBooks and online articles) you need to have a Cornerstone/ABTS Identification number (ID). To receive this, contact the ABTS office and have them reach out to us with your information. (ABTS Instructors: You may want to enroll your whole class for this purpose, ask the ABTS office to send us your student list.)
If a resource requires you to log-in, you should use your full name as listed on your ABTS Student ID card, and your DiscipleNet ID number. (Your DiscipleNet ID number is whatever the number is that you’ve been assigned by CU preceded by your first initial and a zero or two to total 7 digits. For example: Joe Smith, j0012345.)
2. Finding Books
Looking up resources in our online catalog is easy. However, we are unable to mail these outside the U.S. We suggest finding the titles here that interest you and then using this information to borrow them through a local library (see "How do I find books" guide).
3. Finding eBooks
Some books are available electronically and are available for you to download free to your computer pr other device for a set amount of time. You may wish to limit your search in our online catalogue to eBooks or find them through other means. Then click on the link for “Full-text web access” or "Access Options".
4. Finding articles
See the Subject Guides on “Bible” or “Theology/Religion” for recommended databases and other resources. We recommend 'Religious & Theological Abstracts' and 'ATLA-Religion' to be useful databases in this area.
Remember, librarians are here to help! Email at library.circulation@cornerstone.edu or use another method to contact to contact the library team if you need help accessing these resources or identifying other information to support your studies.
