The purpose of the Cornerstone University Archives is to collect, preserve, and provide access to material relevant to the history and heritage of Cornerstone University and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. These resources include but are not limited to historical records, correspondences, photographs, and various media productions. Regular additions to the archives are made from various departments across campus and acquisition of new material is at the discretion of the archivist.
Most collections are organized in the finding aids available in the Archives Room, and increasingly, on the Miller Library website. The archives staff, along with student and volunteer help, handle the acquiring and processing of archival collections. Ongoing initiatives include the collection and organization of items, the creation of finding aids, and the digitization of material.
Due to the importance of Cornerstone University's archival collection, anyone wishing to use the resources must first request permission from the archives staff. Nothing is to be taken from the Archives Room unless used within the library to make photocopies. Digital copies are allowed.
